TX view of the recent discoveries re guiding the relation ol low cylinder temperatures to excessive wear, recent experiments carried out in (icriiiany in engine predicating tire of interest. The water of the cooling system is heated electrically before flic engine is started up. Originally the object was to promote easy starting, but a more important result should be a considerable addition lo the life of cylinders, while, if another healing element is added to bring the oil to normal temperature, the prompt circulation which would be obtained should have the effect of materially reducing bearing wear, and obviating all necessity for preliminary musing id the engine.
