DAYLIGHT SAVING AN AMENDING MEASURE (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. It. McKcen (Lab., Wellington S.) has taken up the late Sir Thomas Sidey’s task of securing a good measuro of summer time for the Dominion. The legislation passed in 1929 provides for advancing the dock half an hour on the morning of the second Sunday in October, and returning to normal time on the morning of the third Sunday in March. The Summer Time Amendment 'Bill, of which Mr. Mclveen lias given notice, will provide for an hour’s advance of the clock, and for a few weeks longer period of operation of summer time.
