ONEHUNGA STABBING
ACCUSED BEFORE COURT (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Hedge Vigo Sorenson, 46, a seaman, was charged in the Police Court with attempting to murder Louisa Annie Thompson, and with assaulting Rose Johnston so as to cause actual bodily harm, both at Onehunga on the evening of Saturday, September 2. Evidence was given that following a party to which Sorenson, a stranger, was invited, and at which a large quantity of liquor was consumed, a man and woman were stabbed, apparently with a lenife. No evidence was given that tho accused had a knife, and two witnesses disagreed with Mrs. Thompson’s statement that a scuffle occurred before die was injured. (Proceeding.)
