ORMOND MEETING The Ormond Women’s Institute' opened its monthly nieetiiigi on Tuesday ( with tiie Canadian ode. There, was a; "ood attendance of members and quite a few visitors. Two new members were 1 enrolled. | A very interesting letter was read, from the institute’s link at Benefield,] IVterboro. Mrs. Oumming was chosen to go as delegate to the council meeting to l>o held on October 6. The competitions were well entered hit >. The best list of six mot useful things for the medicine chest was supnlicd by Mrs Barrow, with Mrs. Mnllooly and Mrs. Pardee second and third respectively. The gingerbread competition was won by Mrs. Mnllooly. Mrs. Atkin being’second and Mrs. Dixon third. The trades table was well laden, and the proceeds will help to swell the piano fund.
Sumo of the members supplied a much appreciated drama, “Oh ! Mr, Smythe.”
Afternoon tea. which was served by Me-dames Cameron (2), Dixon, and Friar, and Misses Courtney and Dixon. Dr. Nina Muir ga vo a most interesting talk, which was appreciated by all. A very pleasant meeting was brought to a close with" the National Anthem,
