Following a Republican meeting in 0 ’(tonnell street, Dublin, a crowd of several thousands attacked the premises of an English brewer nearby, hurling stones through tin* windows. The arrival of police reinforcements resulted in a pitched hat tie, the police, with drawn batons, repeatedly charging. A crowd of people leaving the theat-res and the cinemas rushed into shops.
When the street was clean'd 15 young men were found lying injured and were sent to hospital.
