BANKRUPTCY SOUGHT
CREATORS’ PETITION J. D. DONNER ADJUDICATED A petition lodged by several creditors for the adjudication in bankruptcy ot Julius Dunlop Donner was heard before the registrar, Mr. J. N. Nalder, in the Supreme Court in Gisborne this afternoon.' The petition was not defended, and an, order was made accordingly. The petitioning creditors were Thomas Hennessv, of Opotiki, horse owner; Henry Edward Bell and Bobinia Mar-garet-Hodgson, of Waimana, storekeepers, and Norman Potts and Nelson Vaile Hodgson, of Opotiki, solicitors. Formal evidence was given by MrWoodward, who stated that; all debts referred to in the petition were still The respondent stated that he hact requested the creditors to withdraw their petition, but they were not prepared to do so. He did not appear, therefore, to show cause why an order ihould not be made. Mr. Woodward stated that the petitioners had beqn prepared to meet toe lebtflfc' but as nothing had been paid, they nad no course but to proceed with the petition. An order of adjudication was made with, costs, £5 ss, and disbursements.
