Auckland. One of the photographers. Mervyn Darling, 19, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital suffering from burns to Die. fciee, but bis condition is not considered serious, llis companion was able to go borne, alter treatment at the hospital. The accident! occurred when tlio dancers had assembled to be photographed. The attempt, to take tlio photograph did not succeed, the flashlight powder failing to ignite, and a. tow seconds later it exploded in the fares ot the photographers, causing burns.
