MOTORISTS ESCAPE
CAR STRUCK BY EXPRESS (Per Press Associntion.) PALMERSTON N., this day. Mr. Jack Moore, a Taihapo farmer, had a lucky escape at Cook street level crossing when the bumper of his ear was struck by an express at midday yesterday. When approaching the crossing. Mr. Moore's attention was attracted by a shunting engine in the railway yard, and he did not observe an oncoming express in the opposite direction. He was not injured.
