Considerable surprise and disappointment were felt at Dunedin when :t was learned that Mr Thomas Baxter does not intend to include the South Island in his itinerary. In view of the large amount of dairying carried out in South Otago and Southland it. was anticipated that Mr Baxter would visit Dunedin and Invercargill, but it was learned on Saturday that the duration of his stay in the Dominion will permit him to visit North Island districts only. According to 'present arrangements Mr Baxter is to sail for England on October 3.
