A New Zealander, prominently connected with child welfare, recently wrote to the Italian Ministry of Health, requesting information -on a new type of health camp arranged for poor children in Italy. True to the accepted idea of lititt courtesy, a lengthy explanation of the new system, together with numerous photographs, arrived in due course from the Italian Minister. The letter was dated *‘A.D. 1933, year of Mussolini if.’” One wonders if future generations of Italians will'date their letters with the initials of Anno Mussolini instead of .the'ijiiore usual Anno.Domini, i' The advantage of aerial transport for quick travel was' emphasised last week wlien M r< H. C. Mercer, pilot instructor .flf . the. Canterbury Aero Club. Mr. Wlwrall and Mr. Mercer began the North -Island trip from Wellington on Monday. Visits were made to Palmerston Nckth and New Plymouth, and they arrived l in Auckland on Wednesday. The return flight from Auckland was made on Frid|y. Calls were made at Rotorua, Giftoroe.
