Accofding to amendments to the motor Vehicles regulations gazetted last week, the limitation in regard to driving a motor vehicle at a ■ speed which might bp dangerous to the public is not now to apply to an engine proceeding to a fire The fire engines also need'not keen to the left of any traffic-dome of 6mef indicator. <, They will not be retfeJtad -to observe the regulation stating that a vehicle must give way at an intersection to any other vehicle approaching from the right hand. The amendments give authority for a red light to be carried on fire engines, to be displayed only,while the vehicles are responding to an alarm. Prior to these exemptions being granted it had been ruled that notwithstanding exemptions granted by local by-laws, the motor vehicle regulations required fire engines to observe all the rules applicable to all other motor traffic.
