ACTRESS’ SUICIDE

GAOLED IN GERMANY CRITICISM OF NAZI (Received Sept. 11, 3 p.m.) PRAGUE, Sept. 10. Though the new shas not leaked in Germany, friends of the\ youthful Czech actress, Heddy Eisler, learnt that she committed suicide in the following circumstances : Mile. Eisler, a pretty soubrette, frequently lopped the bill at Berlin theatres. When rehearsing a short while ago, she quarrelled with the stage manager, who chanced to he head ot the Nazi cell in the theatre. Mile. Eisler, losing her temper, cried : “Perhaps you were among the Nazis who burnt the Reichstag." She was immediately arrested and taken to Moabit prison. Nothing was heard for some days, but inquiries by Czech relatives revealed that she was found hanging from a nail in her cell, following her arrest.,
