SEVEN ARRESTS CHICAGO, August 1. At least 200 thoroughbreds racing on American tracks during the last eight months have been “doped, according to an announcement made hy the Federal Narcotic Commission. A secret, investigation into racing conditions, it is revealed, has been carried out during that period. Yesterday afternoon’s fashionable meeting at* Arlington Park, near here, for instance, had a sensational sequel. The agents of the “Narcotic Squad” suddenly appeared and made seven arrests. f * As a result a score of trainers and owners will have to give evidence before the Federal grand jury next week.
