A ,; letter from , the .Australian .association Intimated that the 1 loss on the New Zealanders’ tour was £550 or £6OO. It was considered that the loss was duo to the relative lower standard of play of the New . Zealanders,. compared" with previous teams. The Australian association was considering jts policy regarding. future tours in view of the proposed visit by New Zealand in 1934. The Australian association thought thb losses (should ho a, charge on future tours, and asked that Australia he given a percentage of the gates in order to recoup .the losses. , j The. secretary replied that the tour had cost New Zealand nearly £350 for .assembling and outfitting. Mr. H. L. God her, the manager of, the team, did not agree-that the standard of, play was responsible for tho loss. Now that tho Australian report was received, ho was prepared to. make a special report as to xvhat he considered contributed l to tlie loss. Ho thought lie would be able to place a different complexion upon it.
