FORMER RUSSIAN ENVOY EXECUTED

ISTANBUL, Turkey, March 17. Loon Trotsky, former Bolshevist leader, who has been living in exile in Turkey for several years, said today that ho had been informed that Christian Rakovsky, former Ambassador of'Soviet Russia to Paris, had been brought back to Moscow from .exile in Siberia and put to death. Rakovsky, once the President of the Ukraine Republic, was arrested by the Russian secret police in October, 1929, and sent to Siberia. At the time it appeared he had incurred disfavor by criticising the Soviet Administration after lie had been recalled from Paris.
