Isadora Duncan
TX her remarkably outspoken autobiography, Isadora Duncan showed uo disposition to dwell on her four in South America, undertaken in ,191b' when she was 38 years old. The author of “An Amazing Journey” was her musical director and associate business manager on the tour which marked “the height, and the downfall of her glory.” According to M. Maurice Dumesnil her private life during this strange interlude was marked with an abandon which surely could not easily bo paralleled in any other period of her career. Opening at Buenos Aires with makeshift scenery, she met with an indifferent reception, which had an unfortunate effect on an artist so dependent on the sympathy of her audience as Isadora Duncan. Her failure enraged her, and the episode ended with the dancer bawling insults at the audience from the stage. Things went better at Montevideo; then came Bio do Janeiro, where she had the last great success of her life, and was treated like a queen.
