ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA
PRIZES NOW £15,000
MELBOURNE, April 12.
Sir MacPherson Robertson, who recently. offered £IO,OOO for an air race from England to Australia, has offered to increase the prize money to £15,000, suggesting that the first prize of £IO,OOO should be awarded to the competitor who wins, together with a gold cup, £ISOO to the second, £SOO to the third, £2OOO to the most meritorious flight regarding power and size of craft, and other minor prizes, also a special gold modal for every pilot completing the course.
