INTER-CLUB MATCHES GISBORNE V. POVERTY BAY The first of the season’s inter-club visits between the town clubs took place yesterday, when the Gisborne club- .members received a visit from representatives of the Poverty Bay club, and a series of games was played. The home rinks won three out of the four games ’played, aggregating 87 against Poverty Bay’s 72. Conditions were not of the best, the high wind affecting the running of the bowls. KAHUTIA CLUB There was a good attendance of members and friends on the Ivahutia Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon, when a game in the Dan 'Barry Memorial Shield competition was played, and a number of other fixtures in the Cham pi'oii Singles and the Open Pairs were got off.
