CHAIN-LETTER THREATS - PLAYING ON SUPERSTITION (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov.. 29, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 28. The T’imes’ correspondent at Brussels says Communists are sending chain-let-ter threats to native chiefs in the Belgian Congo, who are asked to copy the letters fo be sent to six other chiefs under penalty of a curse or death. The letters inform the natives that the whites have stolen their land, urge revolt, exhorting the massacre of whites, and stating that war is again raging in Europe.
