TROTSKY’S EULOGY BROADCAST TO AMERICA COPENHAGEN, Nov. 28. .M. Trotsky, who was permitted to leave Czechoslovakia for tne purpose of lecturing in Scandinavia, broadcast speeches to - he t. nited States on Sunday evening, reviving £3OO, plus £15,555 for a Hint talkie. Trotsky’s lubjcct was the meaning of the Russian revolution. lie claimed that, as the e,stilt of a decade of Soviet rule, productivity had been increased 400 per cent.., whereas it had decreased elsewhere. The Danish wireless authorities refused to broadcast the speech, so Trotsky Intel it telephoned to Rugby, thence submarine-telephoned to New York. Trotsky’s unfamiliarity with English handicapped his effort. Every precaution was taken by the Danish police vo ensure Trotsky’s safety. There were no disturbances. Trotsky will visit Sweden to lecture there.
