AUCKLAND, this day. Marion Bell, the 19-year-eld Sydney girl who went to gaol yesterday because she was unable to pay the £lO fine inflicted for stowing away on the Mariposa, was released to-day. The. magistrate said that he had directed that, she be brought before him again. Yesterday lie did not know what to do with her, hut the Salvation Army had kindly offered to take her until she could lie returned to Sydney. In reply to a question, the girl said she had had enough of prison last night to la,st her a-lifotime.
