BOWLS
GISBORNE CLUB Members of the Gisborne Bowling Club held a progressive* pairs competition yesterday in perfect weather, the games being keenly contested. The skips’ first prize went to T. F. Crawford, with four wins, W. J. Sinclair being second with wins to his credit. L. J. Balfour carried off the honors for lead, securing four wins out of a possible five. The runner-up was Dunbar with wins.
During the afternoon Mesdames Corson and R. J. Clark dispensed afternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated by the players.
