Jabez William Mace Luxford. a member of the City Council and other local bodies, and a prominent business man, was charm'd to-day that on or about August 19, 1931, at Wanganui, he did make a false document by forging the name of Ross and Ghmdinning to a Wanganui Technical College Board voucher, knowing the same to be false, with the intention that it should be acted upon ■is genuine: that on July 20, 1929, at Wanganui, he Rid make a false document hy forging the name of Bromolv and Son Limited to the Wanganui Eire Board voucher, knowing the same to be false,

with (he intention that il should be acted upon as genuine; and that on August 24, ,1926, he did commit forgery in that he did procure Gladys Robinson to make a false document, viz., to receipt a Wanganui Eire Board voucher in the mime of Ross and Oleridinning ami Company, knowing the same to he false, witli the intention that it should I " aeied upon as genuine.

This voucher was .not accepted by the witness or any member of his staff. His firm did not receive the cheque. Witness had never at any time given stationery to (he accused.
