POLICE TEAR GAS BOMB
CHICAGO. July 18. A “one-way” tear gas bomb, which cannot be thrown back bv the intended target, is to be added to Chicago’s police weapons. The deputy-Chief of Detectives, Mr. Walter Storms, announced, after preliminary tests that the new missile renders the victim hors do:combat within 24 seconds. The old-time .bomb required four minutes to take effect, during which time it could be boomenuigod . back at the police.
