BIBLE CLASS TEA , ' ■ " ‘ A Bible Class tea in connection with the youth department of the Methodist Church was held in the Bright street Sunday School on Monday evening. Some 5Q young men arid women, including superintendents and teachers, sat down to a sumptuous tea at 6 p.rn. The Rev. W. J. Elliott presided, anti with him were associated the Revs. ,1. W. Grocott and T. 11. (.’art-, and Mr. " Harrison, the leader of the young men’s Bible Class.

The chairman stated they were inet together in honor of the visit of the Rev. Mr. Grocott, assistant general secretary of the Bible class movement, and he cordially welcomed him on behalf of the church. Messrs. W. Harrison and F. 11. Forge also extended a warm welcome for fhe biblo classes and Sunday schools respectively. The Rev. J. W. Grocott, in replying, returned thanks for the encouraging welcome accorded hiin, and referred in glowing terms to some of the hopeful signs of Dibits class work. He exhorted the members to be loyal to their pledges, diligent in duty,, and to stretch out their hearts add hands to every good work with an earnest desire for its accomplishnient.

The Rev. T. H. Carr moved a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker and helpers, and raid he frankly endorsed all its main features, and id seconding this Mr. G. S. Vincent kiiid lie was delighted to see so many youngt men and women present as it augured well for the future. A vfery successful function closed with the singing of the doxology.
