Fat Lamb Competition
THE exhibit of fat lambs to come be- * before the judges at the Show tomorrow contaius the usual freezing classes. These, however, are not con,meted with the Scheme recently adopted by the Moilt ißbard, arid which wftS formulated by Mr. J. C. Graham, of Gisborne. Tlie A. and P. Association will control the arrangements in the Gisborne district, but the Show lambs will have no connection with tho scheme. , l No date has been set down yet for the closing of entries for the Meat Board’s competition, but it has been suggested that lambs chosen from the killings in about a month’s time should be suitable. A proposal has beeii made that each farmer entering the competition should have three carcases selected from a batch he sends in on a stipulated date, but no finality has boon reached. Tlio main object of Mr. Graham’s scheme is to give the meat, producer a better idea of the requirements of the London customer. Other countries
