Greasy merino made up to llifd. The average price of the wool auctioned last week was £ll 2s per bale, or 8.3 d per pound. The -wool sales at Melbourne showed a keener demand arid last week’s prices were move than maintained, leading to the belief that tho present prices are nob of a temporary nature. The average, price* of greasy wool realised last week was 8.86 d per lb. Competition was strong from Japan, Bradford and Jugo-Slavia, .
