MEESKE DEFEATS' ELLIOTT (Per Prose Association.) • HASTINGS, last night. Billy Meeskc (Australia)' defeated King Elliott in a wrestling bout at Hastings to-ilight. The’bout oudod'in the’ sixth round, Meesko’ securing a submission fall from a jiu-jitsu fingor-liold and a wristlock. Elliott was unable to continue, the hold having badly sprained his wrist. The bout was fast throughout, and was the best seen hero. Elliott showed great Versatility, but was unable to combat Meeske’s playing on his nerve centres, ■ these; tactics causing ,Meoske some unpopularity among .a section of the, crowd present. ,
