OLD HOMESTEAD BURNED
(For Preas Association.) CAMBRIDGE, this day. Early this morning the Gorton homestead of 14 rooms, situated a- few miles from Cambridge, was totally destroyed hv fire. The building was one of the oldest in the district, being erected by •Sir James Fergusson, former owner of ■file Gorton estate. Sir Charles Fergusson spent some years there as a boy. The building was insured, but the amount is unavailable.
