FORGING AND UTTERING

TOLAGA BAY CASE For forging and uttering at Tolaga Bay, Reggie Beach, who had pleaded guilty, was released by Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court today and ordered to come up ’for sentence in two years if called on, providing he paid costs and made restitution of £1 19s 4d.

Mr. L. T. Burnard, instructed hv Messrs. Brosnahan and Beaufoy, said the accused was an industrious young man. He had admitted everything frankly, ami had been in gaol for two months, working industriously during that time.

Hi.s Honor: They have lost the money. It is all gone, I suppose? Mr. Burnard said they had got to work so quickly that most of the money had been returned.

The Crown Prosecutor, Mr. F. W. Nolan, said that all money lost had been refunded except £1 19s 4d, which was lost to tho shop proprietress, Mrs. Sheather, who cashed the cheque.

His Honor said accused would be released after signing a bond to come up for sentence within two years if called upon, ami after the payment, of costs, £6 Is (id, and refunding the £1 19s 4d to Mm Sheather.
