A SPECIAL APPOINTMENT Much satisfaction will be felt by those concerned with the spread of tuberculosis amongst the Maoris in the announcement of I)r, Wi Ilepa’s appointment by the Native Department'to com-bat-the spread of the disease amongst the native people, writes the Herald’s Te Ararba correspondent. Dr. Wi Repa will confine his attention to the Maoris of the East Const and a portion of the Bay of Plenty. It may he remembered that boili the Wftiajiii and Matakaoa hospital hoards ih backing up a letter whirl* appeared in the Herald, urged the authorities to liioVo in the direction of doing something for the Maoris who are victims of tuberculosis.
