BRITISH MOTOR TRADE ECONOMIC LEVEL REACHED LONDON, Dec. 26. Sir Herbert Austin, interviewed, said that next year would be better than 1930 as far ns British motoring is concerned. Manufacturers’ costs were now down to a fairly economic level, and selling prices, taking into account the superior qualify of British products, were now reasonably competitive. British manufacturers hold the major part of the homo trade, which gives them confidence to install tho most modern equipment for cheap production. Moreover, Britain is already on top in some of the Dominion markets, whore a few years ago she was at the bottom. The Dominions and colonies, he said, were giving substantial preferences.
