MAN WITH REVOLVER
INCIDENT IN AUCKLAND
HAVING CHRISTMAS FUN
“Accused told me that he was gmng to have some Christmas fun with the boys,” said Sergeant Lambert, when n charge of being unlawfully in possession of a six-chambered revolver was preferred in the Auckland Police < ourt against Edgar Neville Moxnm. Accused was stated to have gone out in tho street in front of his home at I'onsonby with the revolver while lie was under tho influence of liquor. The sergeant added tlmt when accused was arrested the revolver was found in his hip pocket. Moxom was not in possession of any cartridges. Mr. Sullivan sajd that the weapon had been brought from South Africa by accused’s father in ISO 3 and had lain forgotten for 27 years. Accused had found it and when he was under the in.fluence of liquor had taken it out of the house. After accused had been fined' 10s a charge of having an unregistered firearm in his possession was brought against his father, William S. Moxom, who was convicted and discharged.
