A pleasure cruise ended in an accident in Evans Bay, Wellington, on Boxing ’ Day. A man named Thompson, who Jives in Belvedere road, in company with two young women, set out in a tint - bottomed boat for Ward Island. When in the middle of the bay, however, the boat capsized. Fortunately, a man iq a dinghy saw the plight of the three, and [ came quickly to their aid; He hauled the three into his boat, landed them on the shore, and then slipped away almost unnoticed.
