During the hearing of the bank note forgery case, a shorthand note of each day’s proceedings transcribed ready for the judge totalled more than 000,000 words. The firm of Watcrlow and Sons Ltd. has a capital of £1,770,000, and a reserve fund of £620,000. It paid a 124 per cent, dividend in 1028-0.
Six-figure damages is most, rare, but there was a case in March where a settlement was effected at £335,000/ Much higher sums have been awarded bv arbitration.
