The recent round-up of anti-Fascists has revealed the existence of a now body of political police known as the "Ovra," working directly under the Ministry of the Inferior, of which Signor Mussolini is the head. The Tribuna says: "The Ovra steps in before crimes are committed, instead of wailing till afterwards.. It is silent and sudden, and its arrests are followed by trial at special tribunals. There is nothing more to bo said."
15 YEARS' GAOL ANTI-FASCISTS SENTENCED LONDON, Dec. 1. Signor Bclotri, a former Minister, has been sentenced-to live years' imprisonment on tho ground of antiFascist activities. Signor Rolloni, a former Mayor of Milan, has been sentenced to five years on an unspecified charge.
The special Tribunal for the Defence of tho State has condemned to lf> years' imprisonment and perpetual deprivation from holding official positions, Signers Rossi, Doria Attilio and Sereni, young professors of agriculture at Naples, who after studying in England and Czocho-Slovakia, wont to Paris and engaged in Communist propaganda, says tho Rome correspondent of the Times.
