N.Z. CRICKETERS
TEAM FOR ENGLAND TRIAL GAMES SUGGESTED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. At a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association management committee, the chairman, Mr. P. B. Broad, invited an expression of opinion upon the advisability of holding trial matches in order to pick the New Zealand team for England. Mr. Hanna said there would be only about four players to select ai'ter the certainties had been written down. He considered that the selectors would be quite competent to .complete the team without going to the expense of holding trial matches. Mr. Cristopherson thought a North Island versus South Island trial match would be the best draw . It was decided to leavo the matter over till the next meeting.
