It is tho tune of Maurice Havel’s “Bolero.” which lias just been recorded by Dr. William A Ten gel berg and his Amsterdam 0 roh es tr a. It has already conquered the 'concertroom. The composer gives you every opportunity to “catch” bis tune, for the whole composition consists really of nothing else. Tt is repeated again and again, each tirno with enhanced orchestral coloring. Everybody who hears it, states a London correspondent, declares the tune to bo fascinating, mesmeric, and, above all, catchv. But when the music censes, ask them to whistle it, and unless they possess a photographic musical memory they cannot do so. The catchy tune has already escaped.
