A Lucky Chance
pOVENT Garden in London is famous nil over the world for its acoustics. Opera, singers would like to perform there for that reason only. Oddly enough the magnificence of the, acoustics are due, so they say, entirely to a fluke. When the present buildings were erected in 1859 a large water-tank was placed in the, dome. For some reason or another it was never filled and architects say that this sounding-bos is largely responsible for Hie acoustics.
