Mr. A. Cliff McCulloch, a farmer, of the Bay of Plenty, returned from a six months’ tour abroad by (lie Mataroa. ' Mr. William Purcell, of Auckland, lias been appointed from 20 applicants to the position of power station superintendent a.t the New Plymouth borough hydroelectric works at Mangorei. l'illy years of missionary work in Fiji, with only a very occasional vacation, is the iccord established by Mrs. r.mnia: Burrows Small, widow of the Rev. A. ,1. Small, whose death occurred recently at Filzrov, New Plymouth. After 44 years of educational service in New Zealand, Mr. W. S. Austin, who has been an inspector of manual and technical schools under the Education Department since September, 1919. retired at the beginning of the present month.
After 15 years’ service at All Saints’ Church. Gladstone, Invercargill, and u total of 53 years’ ministry, Canon EynesClinton retired at the end of last month. Canon F.vnes-Clinton had carried on the work of the church in many parts of New Zealand.
