SHEEPSKINS SALE
KEEN COMPETITION THE OFFICIAL REPORT The Gisborne Woolbrnkers’ Association held one of their periodical sales yesterday, when they submitted catalogues totalling -1334 sheepskins, together with a quantity of station hides and tallow. The sale was attended#}' the principal buyers' operating at 'the main centres. There was keen competition, and the whole of the offering, was sold at prices fully equal to those ruling elsewhere.
No oddments of wool were submitted. It, is intended to catalogue these in the main winter crutch nig sale, to he held about the. third week in June, the actual date ofor which will be announced short ly.
The range of prices for the .sheepskins sold was as under: —Medium to line crossbred, half to three-quarter woolled, sound pelted. ('D'd to 7:jd; coarse crossbred, half to three quarter, sound pelted, OJd to 7 Id; quarter to half wools, (id to 7;]d; pelts and clothing, oil to 7id; crossbred, seedy, ltd to Old; dead, Tid to d|d; inferior and badly damaged, 3d to ml.
