U.S. INVESTIGATIONS CHEMISTS ARRESTED (Received April 19. 2 p.m.) S7EY\ YORK, April 13. Science and law came Lo the aid ol a thousand or more persons in four Si ales suffering from "jake" poisoning. The health authorities at Wichita, Topeka, and Oklahoma City, and the cities'of Missouri and Texas are making extensive laboratory tests while Federal agents are gathering evidence which will be presented to the grand jury. Warrants have been issued for the arrest of 30 chemists in Oklahoma City charged with selling sub-standard ginger. The condition of 400 persons who were afflicted in Oklahoma, City more than a. month ago is unchanged. A majority still hobble about on paralysed feet, ami nurse numb arms. Two hundred persons art! ill in Wichita City.
