11 BANKS FAIL
DEPRESSION IN ILLINOIS COAL MINING SLACKNESS (Received April 19, 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 18. An Indianapolis report states that 11 banks have failed in the last fortnight in Marion County, Illinois, due to the slackness of coal mining because fuel oil and other substitutes have caused a depression in the industry.
