COMPETITIONS DECIDED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) SYDNEY, April IS. At the stud cattle sales at the Royal Show there >yas excellent competition. The highest price was i'or an Aberdeen Angus bull, 610 guineas. Hereford bulks .sold from .50 to 300 guineas. The top price, i'or Guernseys was 125 guineas. There was a good demand for dairy cattle of quality. The wpodchopping contests at the show began with the underhand chop with 12im logs, which resulted as follows: 0. McCarthy 1, C. Mcintosh 2. Time, •11 2-ssec. lii the standing cut, 14in. logs, six heats have been decided. The second heat was won by the New Zealander, Whatta Green, his time, 59soc, being easily the best. Further heats will take place to-morrow^ Spectacular high jumping for horses wherein there were 41 competitors, occupied three hours, and was eventually won by A. L. Payne's Disjutcd Plains, which jumped 7ft. 2-Jin.
The attendance to-day was about 70,00.0. The weather was beautiful.
