N.Z. UNION MEETS MAORI TRIAL MATCHES (Per Press Association,) Wellington, last night. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. Mr. Guy J'owles, writing from London, regretted that he could not consent to the allocation of the. Moasear Cup to a competition between teams from the New Zealand navy. Ho eoultl see no possible connection between the navy and the army teams, which competed for tin; cup at Moasear in 1919. Sub-committees for the ensuing year were appointed as follows: Referees, Messrs. Wylie and Kitto; finance, Messrs. Dean, Wylie, and Leith; outfit, Messrs. Dean and Kitto ; reinstatement, Messrs. Roaehe and Kitto. Tho two Maori trial matches are to be played on June 3 and July 2. The latter will be a. Possibles and Probables game in connection with the forthcoming British tour. The committee decided that North Island nominations must reach the hands of the secretary by May .4, and that the South Island nominations must bo made by May 12.
