FRENCH RUGBY TEAM
FULL STRENGTH ASSURED PREMIER’S INTERVENTION (Received February 15, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 14. “France’s victory on the Rugby field is most important for the success of the, naval conference, so please give Samatan the necessary leave of absence.” The French Premier, M. Tardieu, thus telegraphed the Wai Minister, M. Mngiuot, with the result that the French team to meet England at Twickenham to-morrow w'ill be of full strength. Sarnatuni, the French wing three-quarter, is a private in an infantry regiment stationed in tho south of France, whose colonel refused to grant leave. M. Tardieu, hearing of the case, immediately despatched tho foregoing message.
