SENSATION AT BANQUET RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 7. Vico-Prcsident »Mello Vianna went to Monte Carlos, in the State of Minas Geraes, to heal party warfare in connection with the ponding Presidential election, lie gave a banquet to the principal citizens and had just made the leading speech of the evening when his enemies opened lire from the rear of the hall. Vianna himself was wounded and five wen* killed, including Raphael Cleury, the vicepresident's secretary. Another of the dead is Dolln Bella, the well-known engineer and sportsman of Rio de ■Janeiro.
