HEAT IN QUEENSLAND
BRISBANE, Jan. 14. Intense heat is being experienced at Charlcville, the mercury to-day touching 114 degrees in the shade. Hot winds are destroying the little vegetable life that has survived the drought. There are no signs of much-looked-for rain.
