Four or five eet. of water submerge vast areas. John Dagen, who was forced to flee placed bis cow on a high platform, with plenty of feed, before he paddled away. Bits of fur indicated how the cat had eliminated the rabbit, and ttie squirrel chattered wildly up a nearby tree as if he feared a similar fate.
