BRITISH POLICY IN CHINA SHANGHAI. Jan. 27. Missionary circles are indignant at the news that Britain is prepared to .surrender privileges accorded to British missionaries in China. The decision means that I hev can no longer reside in the interior. , A strong protest is shortly to be made to the Government. on the ground that the British missions will be placed at a disadvantage with, foreign missions.
